W5 Solutions AB (W5) has acquired 100 per cent of the Swedish-based MSE Omnifinity AB (Omnifinity), a hardware and software company.
Omnifinity is at the forefront regarding virtual reality — not least through the product Omnideck. With Omnideck the immersion factor is taken to the next level by allowing the user to walk and move freely in any virtual world — in a 360-degree treadmill. Using sophisticated algorithms to move the user in any direction on a motor-driven surface, the Omnideck offers a new experience in a safe environment, where no training is required.

Within W5, Omnifinity will operate as an independent business division, with a continued focus on providing solutions to clients within innovation, simulation, and entertainment. Through Omnifinity, W5 will further strengthen its position with best-in-class virtual simulation and training systems.

The transaction was completed as of 1st June 2021. The parties have agreed not to disclose the terms.
